Conference on Advances in Applied Macro-Finance
Istanbul Bilgi University is pleased to host the Conference on Advances in Applied Macro-Finance. The conference aims to foster discussion on the latest developments in the area of applied macroeconomics and finance. This year the main focus will be on the role of market expectations and uncertainty for the conduct of monetary policy, but relevant contribution in the broad areas of applied macroeconomics and finance will be considered.
The Organizing Committee invites submissions on the following topics:
- Uncertainty shocks: measurement, identification, and the transmission channel;
- Market sentiment and market expectations: measurement, expectations formation, and implications for the conduct of monetary policy;
- The role of financial markets in the transmission of uncertainty and sentiment shocks;
- Conventional and unconventional monetary policy.
The conference will take place in the Santral Campus of Istanbul Bilgi University.
